Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake is expected to be announced this year

This January 15, the actress who played Sheva Alomar in Resident Evil 5 raised doubts about an announcement about the game. Some saw this as a sign of a remake, but that is unlikely to be the case.

Insider Dusk Golem, who is generally well-informed about the Capcom franchise, pointed out that a new version of Resident Evil 5 is not in development. However, he added that another remake will be announced in 2026. According to him, it will be Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

In the past, Dusk Golem had estimated that this remake would be released in 2027. Finally, a modernized version of Resident Evil 0 is also in the works and expected in 2028.
