Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler CarlLitRPG series has become a massive hit since he self-published his first book in 2020. There are now eight bestselling books about a world where all of Earth’s resources have been used to create a fantasy dungeon for an alien reality TV show. The bizarre, meta adventure has inspired a line of toys, a tabletop role-playing game that has raised more than $7.6 million on BackerKit, and an upcoming TV show produced by Seth MacFarlane. Now the first book is being turned into a graphic novel by Vault Comics.
