Don’t take it too seriously just yet though.
With The Super Mario Galaxy Movie already breaking records following its release this week, it seems inevitable that we’ll get a third entry at some point in the future (along with multiple spin-offs too, no doubt).
Well, in a Cinemax interview with Donald Glover and Jack Black (thanks, IGN), the latter jokingly suggested that a third movie would arrive in 2029. It’s not something we’re looking to take too seriously at the moment, but it’s curious that he actually specified a year.

This is a fun and lighthearted take on the Mario movie franchise! Jack Black always knows how to keep things entertaining. It’ll be interesting to see where the series goes next.
