Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that its upcoming Housemarque action game will support PS5 Pro PSSR 2 at launch. Saros will launch on April 30 with solid PS5 Pro enhancements, but Sony has revealed quite a few bells and whistles for base consoles as well.

With support for upgraded PSSR, PS5 Pro players can expect sharper visuals. Over on the PS Blog, Housemarque promised that “you can barely tell it apart from native 4K as you explore Carcosa.”
Saros also features an increased base render resolution on the PS5 Pro, resulting in higher resolution image at 60 frames per second. “While we use dynamic resolution to ensure stable frame rate even in the middle of hectic combat, PS5 Pro always delivers a sharper image in a scene-to-scene comparison,” Housemarque added.
Saros also runs at a stable 60 fps on the base PS5. However, the game will drop to 30 fps on both consoles in “key” story cinematic scenes because Housemarque opted for quality over quantity when showing characters.
On both the PS5 and PS5 Pro, players can expect precision 3D audio, realistic use of adaptive triggers during combat and weapon use, haptic feedback, and “near-instant” loading.
