The popular battle royale, PUBG: Battlegrounds, may be unplayable on PS4 now, but players who decide to continue to play on PS5 are in luck. Krafton and PUBG Studios are offering a free bundle for the game on the PS Store for a limited time.
What is the 2025 PS Plus Exclusive Bundle for PUBG: Battlegrounds?
Officially dubbed the 2025 PlayStation Plus Exclusive Bundle #4, this piece of PUBG: Battlegrounds DLC is free for any subscriber of Sony’s online gaming service. This will give PS5 players a chance to get new cosmetics and other items available in-game. Players who want to take advantage of this deal have a bit of time, but may want to act fast in case they forget. The offer ends on January 7, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET.
It should be noted that this package can only be downloaded once per account. Additionally, Hunter’s Chest and Keys claimed after unlocking the Exclusive Bundle are automatically transferred to the workshop crafting menu.

Krafton and PUBG Studios ended legacy support for PUBG: Battlegrounds today, November 13. This means the game is now shut down for PS4. In a statement from a blog post regarding the matter, the developer says the reasoning behind the decision was to give players the experience they expect from a current-gen game.
“This shift is a necessary step toward aligning PUBG Console with current-gen consoles,” reads the blog post. “To provide our players with a more stable gameplay environment on console and ensure a smoother, more seamless experience with future updates, we’ve decided to transition to current-gen consoles. Following this transition, console players will see improved visuals and more stable frame rates. In addition, we expect to reduce ongoing crash issues through memory-related optimizations.”
