PS Plus Premium has quietly added a free full game trial for one of 2025’s surprise hit PS5 games. Ball x Pit, which is being likened to universally acclaimed Balatro in terms of addictiveness, is offering an hour-long trial to subscribers.

Made by solo dev Kenny Sun and published by Devolver Digital, Ball x Pit is billed as a “brick-breaking, ball-fusing, base-building survival roguelite where heroes must find the balls to plunge deeper into a seemingly bottomless pit of monsters.”

It’s a very well executed fusion of popular genres, and player reception has been very positive. On Steam, Ball x Pit has received an “overwhelmingly positive” response based on more than 1,500 verified votes. On the PS Store, the game boasts a score of 4.86/5 stars based on more than 500 verified downloads.

“Such a great game with a very addictive hook and a pretty good meta,” wrote one Reddit user. “I was excited for the game, and I’m honestly surprised how much more and how different things can be in the game,” wrote another.

As a bonus, Ball x Pit has been added to the PS Plus cloud library so players can stream the trial and game. The full game costs $14.99, and progress from the trial carries over.
