Project OVR : cut content from the upcoming Ghost Recon may have been revealed

The latest reports regarding the next installment in the Ghost Recon series weren’t very reassuring. Development is reportedly chaotic, which has already led to the removal of certain content in order to meet the deadlines set by Ubisoft.

The website Insider Gaming has detailed the nature of the elements that have reportedly been removed from the game. For example, proximity mines—which players would have been able to place anywhere on the map—are no longer part of the game. The same goes for a workbench that offered a highly advanced customization and crafting system. Weapons will still be customizable in the final game, but with more limited options.

Finally, helicopters have also reportedly been scrapped because their integration was deemed « too risky ». Indeed, this addition would have inevitably delayed the launch of « Project OVR ».
