Capcomβs gamble has paid off with the launch of Pragmata on April 17 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC. This brand-new franchise has found its audience!
In fact, the Japanese publisher announced that its single-player, third-person sci-fi action-adventure game sold over a million copies in just two days.
In its press release, Capcom also noted that Pragmata was primarily developed by young developers. This team shared a brief comment regarding this success. It was also stated that, in the future, the company will take the necessary steps “to deliver the appeal of PRAGMATA to an even broader audience.”
The saga could therefore continue through new projects.
“As a completely new IP, PRAGMATA represents a new challenge for Capcom, built from the ground up with an original world and gameplay concept. We are truly delighted that so many players around the world have enjoyed the game, enabling us to reach this milestone of one million units sold. Moving forward, we will continue making every effort to deliver the appeal of PRAGMATA to an even broader audience.”
