Poncle, the developer of Vampire Survivors, is opening a new studio in Japan

Thanks to the resounding success of Vampire Survivors, Poncle now has the opportunity to expand by opening an office in Japan. Studio founder Luca Galante revealed this information during a recent interview.

Galante has always wanted to open a studio in Japan “due to his longtime admiration for Japanese games and positive experiences visiting Japan.” Sawaki Takeyasu, who notably directed El Shaddai, will lead this Japanese branch.

This new studio will likely have a great deal of freedom in the direction of its future projects. Each Poncle team is, above all, independent and focused on unique projects. Collaborations between the branches will still be possible, however.
