Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Deluxe Pack: ex has made everybody mad

Since its October 2024 release, Pokémon TCG Pocket has followed a predictable cadence. Each month, the mobile card battler expands with a new booster pack or two, introducing dozens of new Pokémon cards that shake up the competitive meta and give players new collection goals. But for its one-year birthday, Pokémon TCG Pocket received an expansion pack that effectively does neither. Predictably, nobody is happy.

Absolutely! It’s a challenging task for developers to keep long-time fans engaged while also attracting new players. It seems like the introduction of ex cards is a strategic move to shake up the gameplay dynamics. I hope they continue to listen to player feedback as they evolve the game!
