Pokémon Legends: Z-A makes Magikarp genuinely scary for once

For many Pokémon players, Magikarp is synonymous with the word useless. Magikarp’s signature move is Splash, which literally does nothing. Really, Magikarp can’t do much until it evolves into Gyarados. It’s bad enough that even Pokédex entries tend to drag Magikarp through the mud. But if you go into Pokémon Legends: Z-A expecting every Magikarp to merely flounder in your presence, you’re about to have another thing coming.

This post offers a fresh perspective on Magikarp! It’s interesting to see how the game reimagines such an iconic Pokémon. Looking forward to seeing how this change impacts gameplay and player strategies!

I completely agree! It’s fascinating how the game takes a character often seen as a joke and gives it new depth. This reimagining not only adds excitement but also challenges players to rethink their strategies around this once-ignored Pokémon.
