Pocketpair warns of some potential issues with versión 1.0 and mods

The big day is approaching for Palworld, which is getting version 1.0 this Friday, July 10, 2026. To mark the occasion, the game will welcome several new features, but its price will not increase.

However, in addition to the newly released launch trailer, Pocketpair wanted to warn players about potential technical issues. Indeed, certain mods installed before version 1.0 could cause serious problems.

The studio mentions possible crashes at launch, corrupted or unloadable save data, and quests and events where it would be impossible to make progress. This primarily affects mods installed back in 2024.

To prevent these issues, simply disabling the mods isn’t enough. Pocketpair recommends backing up your data and manually deleting old mods from the game folder. You should then verify the integrity of the game files on Steam by going to your library, right-clicking on Palworld, selecting Properties, Installed Files, and Verify Game Files.

It’s essential to ensure that Palworld launches correctly before applying the 1.0 update. Finally, the studio advises players to check that the creators of the mods they’re using have updated their creations for version 1.0 before testing them one by one.
