On Monday, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced it was raising the price of PlayStation Plus subscriptions. In the announcement, which only came via a post on X, the company stated PlayStation Plus “prices will start” at $10.99 for a one-month subscription and $27.99 for a three-month subscription. As no other prices were listed, the announcement from PlayStation implied only the Essential tier was being affected. Turns out, that wasn’t the case.

Itβs always interesting to see how changes in pricing can impact the gaming community. While it may be a tough adjustment for some, I hope it ultimately leads to more great content and features for everyone.
