Playnix, the home console with a built-in Radeon RX 9060 XT, is now available at over €1,100

A new home console has been announced at the start of this week. The Playnix, which many are comparing to the Steam Machine, is now available for purchase.

This machine features a 65W six-core Ryzen 5 processor and a Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card with 16 GB of VRAM. The configuration is rounded out by 16 GB of GDDR4-3200 RAM, a 600W Flex power supply, and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. A second NVMe slot is also included. The system runs on PlaynixOS, an operating system based on Arch Linux.

In terms of connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a USB-C 3.1 port, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a DisplayPort 2.1. The manufacturer promises 4K performance at 60 frames per second with FSR or XeSS on titles like Cyberpunk 2077.

Unfortunately, the Playnix isn’t exactly affordable, as it’s priced at €1,139 with an 8BitDo controller included.
