Nano Park Studios has released a brand new demo for its upcoming RPG Petal Runners, where players are couriers delivering pets around Sapphire Valley. Players take on the role of Cali the courier who is accompanied on her adventure with Kira, a first generation HanaPet. Delivering pets is not the only thing to do in Petal Runners with side quests and minigames to experience too.
The Petal Runner demo lets players experience the second district of the game, where minigames can be played, a quest to heal a family’s relationship, and meet different HanaPets. There are some known bugs that in the demo that Nano Park Studios is working on, and they are listed below.
Notable Bugs
- [CRASH] Attempting to complete Percy’s “The Boy” quest while mounted on the bike crashes the game, while talking to the 3rd interview NPC of the overworld portion (“Suspiciously Innocent Bystander”)
- The HanaPets Fan Club quest has persistence issues across game saves/loads.
- In the “Join the Crew” minigame, it’s possible to get stuck to the walls
- Losing the last LCI minigame on a single heart can still trigger the success condition
- (RARE) In the “Table Tennis” minigame, the ball can clip through the player, causing an unfair loss
- (RARE) Under some circumstances, dismounting the bike can cause the player to perpetually clip through the top-right of the world, and eventually the universe.

- There is no way to pause the game during the Sewer escape minigame, or during LCI calibrations.

- In the “Wind the Clock” minigame, the control hints can return even when the hour hand is already in the zone.
- Percy will detach from the player during his quest when the Bike Valet terminal is interacted with.
- Percy will be duplicated if the player mounts and dismounts the bike following this.

- Riding escalators with Kira causes him to temporarily detach.
- Opening the Leash in certain moments such as the 739 Emerald Road delivery can cause issues relating to the BGM.

- ALT-TABing from full-screen mode can cause inconsistent surface sizing that don’t resolve until the game is re-started.
Rapidly re-sizing the game between fullscreen & windowed can also produce a similar result
- Potential scaling issue in fullscreen mode on monitors that aren’t 16:9.
