Play to Airdrop Pre-Season Kickoff

Pre-Season Details

Set to commence on September 24, the Pre-Season for OverKnights entitled “Play to Airdrop” is designed to ramp up the excitement and competitiveness prior to the main event. During this phase, players can buy a Pilot Badge, which not only offers advantages such as improved loot probabilities in-game but also access to an exclusive pool of $IMX tokens. These benefits are critical as they allow players to better gather Fragments, which are key to moving up the leaderboard and are tradable as well.

Economic Strategy of Pilot Badges

The Pilot Badge is integral to a player’s strategic advancement in OverKnights. Starting at a price equivalent to $10 in $IMX tokens, the cost of these badges rises by 0.25% following each purchase. As more badges are sold, the seasonal prize pool, initially containing $5k worth of $IMX tokens, also increases. This implements a bonding curve pricing model which rewards early purchasers.

The Main Event: Season 1 – Crystal Fragments

Competitive Season Layout

Launching by the end of September and possibly lasting up to two weeks, Season 1 places players in a competitive hunt for Crystal Fragments. With 100k Fragments in circulation, players’ success in collecting these will determine their stature on the leaderboard. The season may conclude prematurely if all Fragments are collected before the scheduled end. Quantum Caches, which can be earned through daily and weekly quests, distribute these Fragments and play a crucial role in accumulating points necessary for leaderboard success.

Reward System Enhancements

Holders of the Pilot Badge gain privileged access to premium loot tables, enhancing rewards from Quantum Caches which are pivotal in gathering Fragments. Purchasing badges also contributes to enlarging the seasonal reward pool, significantly enriching the gameplay and competitive experience.

Future Prospects

Participants in OverKnights not only engage in intricately tactical gameplay but are also presented with opportunities to earn through their competitive interactions. The game promotes strategic depth and player involvement, setting the stage for both experienced gamers and newcomers to delve into the forthcoming season, offering a mix of challenges and rewards.
