One Piece’s New 2027 Anime By WIT Studio Is Fixing 3 Big Flaws With 7 Episodes

Eiichiro Oro’s One Piece is the biggest manga series in the whole world with no peers. This manga has become a phenomenon all over the world and, especially in Japan, has amassed millions of fans, with over 600 million copies sold as of 2026. For a manga of this stature, an anime adaptation that is equally good was always needed, and when WIT Studio announced that they were working on One Piece in December 2024, fans were absolutely delighted. Surprisingly, not much information was revealed about WIT Studio’s The One Piece anime project for quite a while, until yesterday, 5th May 2026.
