One Piece Creator Eiichiro Oda Is Officially Taking A Break Until May 10 β€” Here’s Why

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece entered its Final Saga with Egghead, and right now, the story is in the second arc, named Elbaph. Having continued for over a year at this point, the Elbaph arc has already entered its climax and is currently in the very last battle, which has seen the descent of the ultimate villain of the series, Saint Nerona Imu. Consequently, intensity is through the roof at this point in this arc, and all fans are eagerly waiting for new chapters, each passing week. Unfortunately, One Piece has just announced a break, just like the vast majority of the other series that are published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga is set to return on May 10, but the release schedule after the next chapter is going to be laden with even more hiatuses.
