Today we’ve got exclusive word of a new tabletop RPG coming to English audiences. The Octopath Traveler TRPG is set to release in October of this year. While the game has been available in Japanese for some time, and fans have explored their own translations of the text, this is the first official release of the game system in English.
The tabletop RPG allows plays to explore the world of Orsterra in their own adventures using a 2d6-based rules system. Play groups can play out their stories across the Octopath Traveler timeline, either creating their own characters or taking on pre-built customizable characters that are included in the game, representing many of the video game’s most familiar faces.
The rulebook is 328 pages in hardcover, and is set to be priced at $59.99. Expect to hear more about the TRPG from Dark Horse in the months to come.Â
