The list of PS Plus Premium and new PS5, PS4 classics without trophies continues to grow as one publisher refuses to support the feature. It’s Bandai Namco Entertainment again, and this time, with no trophies for the lone October 2025 classic, Tekken 3.
No Bandai Namco PS Plus, PS5/PS4 classics have supported trophies thus far
We weren’t expecting Tekken 3 to come with trophies since neither Bandai Namco nor Capcom is interested in adding the feature in any of their classics. But that hasn’t stopped fans from expressing disappointment.
“No need to buy the trophyless games as my tablet can run PS1, PSP emulators just fine,” wrote one player on PSNProfiles. “Like Capcom, Bandai Namco also doesn’t see any value in older games and that is why they don’t want to pay for a trophy patch,” a fellow trophy hunter theorized.
One PSNProfiles user reportedly contacted Bandai Namco to ask why its classics don’t have trophies, and was allegedly told that the publisher doesn’t have a dedicated team to support retro/classic games. While that’s understandable, we wonder why Sony hasn’t stepped in if this is true.
As a reminder, Tekken 3 is also available for stand-alone purchase on the PS Store.
