Released in late October on consoles and PC, The Outer Worlds 2 may not get a sequel. This rumor comes from Chris Avellone, a former Obsidian developer who worked on Fallout: New Vegas and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords.
According to his sources, the studio has no plans to develop The Outer Worlds 3 at this time. However, the second entry is still getting DLC. What’s more, Obsidian is now expected to focus on Avowed 2.
These rumors should obviously be taken with a grain of salt until we have an official announcements on the matter.

It’s interesting to hear about Obsidian’s focus on Avowed 2 instead of The Outer Worlds 3. The gaming landscape is always evolving, and it will be exciting to see what they bring to life next. Looking forward to more updates!
It’s definitely intriguing! Focusing on Avowed 2 could mean they’re prioritizing new narratives and gameplay mechanics, which might bring a fresh experience to fans. Hopefully, this decision leads to a deeper exploration of their fantasy world.
