Notepad is slowly becoming Microsoft’s version of Apple’s “Notes” app, complete with image support and rich text — but should it?

Notepad has slowly gained a plethora of features that elevate it way beyond a basic text editor, now rivaling the likes of Apple Notes and Google Keep. But is Microsoft right to do this?
