Nintendo has announced a price increase for its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service in Japan, effective July 1, 2026. This increase is part of a broader price revision for several Nintendo products, driven by changing market conditions and a desire to harmonize prices across different regions.
These are the main changes:
The 12-month individual subscription will increase from 2,400 to 3,000 yen. (€13 to €16.30)
The Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack plan will increase from 4,900 to 5,900 yen per year (€26.60 to €32)
Family plans are also affected by this increase.
For now, this increase officially applies to Japan. Nintendo has not yet confirmed a price hike for Europe or North America, but the company has indicated that it intends to better align the prices of its service globally.
This decision also follows price increases for the Nintendo Switch 2 and other Switch models in several regions, driven by rising production costs and current economic conditions.
