This little robot named Astro is managed by Team Asobi, whose father is none other than the man we are interested in today: Nicolas Doucet. A personality in the gaming world who has long remained in the shadows, discreet for nearly 25 years, even though he made his debut in the industry in 2001.
Before stepping into the spotlight and giving a series of international interviews following the success of Astro Bot—released in 2024 on PlayStation 5 and winner of the coveted GOTY (Game of the Year) award at the latest Game Awards—Nicolas Doucet already had a wealth of experience in the industry.
In 2002, he took on the role of Associate Producer on games such as Bionicle: Matoran Adventures on Game Boy Advance, then Bionicle in 2003 on PlayStation 2. The Frenchman, now 47, made his name between 2005 and 2008 as producer on Sony’s EyeToy franchise.
