Set to launch in fall 2026, Marvel Games and Insomniac Games will release their highly anticipated Wolverine game starring the fan-favorite X-Man. Now with four games under their belt, a new interview suggests that the partnership will continue âfor many years to come.â
It seems Wolverine wonât be the last Marvel game Insomniac Games develops
In an interview with Game Informer, Marvel Games general manager Haluk Mentes discussed partnering with other companies like Insomniac Games to create experiences like Spider-Man. While the future is unknown for this partnership is unknown right now, Mentes suggests that more Marvel games will be coming from Insomniac Games after Wolverine.
âWe also actively seek collaborators that want to take on the same mantle,â said Mentes. âAs is usually the case, once we complete a project together, they, too, become âMarvelâ. Marvelâs Wolverine with our dear friends at Insomniac Games is perhaps the epitome of this philosophy.
âWe have been working together for more than a decade and developed such a shorthand across multiple Marvelâs Spider-Man games that when the time finally came to bring Logan back in spectacular and visceral fashion, it was obvious to everyone on our team that Insomniac was the perfect choice.
âIt was our shared culture and values that brought us together, and weâre so proud to continue collaborating for many years to come.â
Marvelâs Wolverine was originally revealed during the 2021 PlayStation Showcase with a teaser trailer. Formally revealed information about the game was scarce until recently, when Insomniac Games and Marvel Games revealed the upcoming game will release in fall 2026. It also released a brand-new trailer, giving PS5 players a glimpse of what to expect from Loganâs latest adventure.
Marvelâs Wolverine will be available for PS5. It will be PS5 Pro enhanced when it launches next year.
