New HoYoverse Life Sim Is Like Animal Crossing In Space

HoYoverse is known for its excellent gacha offerings, with Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail drawing in millions of dedicated players. For its next game, Petit Planet, it’s headed in an entirely different–and cozy–direction.

Fans of Animal Crossing will immediately be drawn to Petit Planet’s gameplay loop, where you’re tasked with nurturing a planet of your own before expanding to form a galaxy by connecting with other nearby planets. You’ll start your adventure on your own planet before linking up with others. Luca, the name for the vitality of a planet, will shape and adjust each one with a different landscape.

You can take part in the usual life sim activities–planting, fishing, beachcombing, mining, cooking, crafting, and more. There are exotic crops to discover, new ecosystems to unearth, and unique neighbors to meet. Thankfully, Tom Nook is nowhere to be seen.
