While itโs not quite as viral as it once was, R.E.P.O. is still enjoyed by many, and its initial burst of popularity canโt be understated. Taking the internet by storm due to its goofy bean-shaped characters and the built-in potential for hilarious internet clips, itโs no surprise that indie developers would want to recreate the success of semiworkโs scary-yet-silly project. One Steam title that clearly follows in the footsteps of R.E.P.O. is Last Pirates: Die Together, but itโs not a direct copy. Sure, its character models are similarly charming, and it does seem poised to deliver its share of scares via some player-chasing monsters, but it also works extraction elements into its gameplay loop.
