For 15 years now, Monolith Soft has devoted itself almost exclusively to the Xenoblade saga. But it could very well be that the Japanese studio is currently working on something new.
According to Nash Weedle and Nintenleaks, Monolith has been working on a certain Project Legacy for about three years. It could be a new license, a spin-off of Xenoblade, or even a game related to the Zelda franchise.What this title is all about remains unclear for now.
An official announcement could come very soon. It seems unlikely that it will be made at next week’s Game Awards, as Nintendo does not usually make announcements there. We will probably have to wait for a potential Direct in 2026.
All this information should, of course, be taken with a pinch of salt.
