
Kensuke Tanabe joined Nintendo in 1986. Over the past 40 years, he has worked on legendary titles such as Super Mario Bros. 2, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Link’s Awakening, and the Metroid Prime series.
Tanabe has announced that Metroid Prime 4 will be his last game at Nintendo. He will be replaced by producer Risa Tabata, who will take his place as producer on a potential future entry.
This marks the departure of yet another iconic figure at Nintendo.
