Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Includes Casual and Normal Difficulty Options, Unlockable Hard Mode

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, one of the most anticipated Nintendo sequels in years, launches next week, and it still doesn’t feel real. Nevertheless, numerous previews have provided a better indication of what to expect, including the difficulty modes. Similar to many other first-party titles, there are Casual and Normal modes to choose from.

The former is recommended for newcomers to the series, while the latter is for long-time fans. Those who want a more challenging experience can try Hard mode, but they’ll need to clear the game on Normal first. Sadly, you can’t unlock it early with the amiibo, which instead showcases the full version of a movie seen in scattered pieces throughout, without needing 100 percent in scans and item collection.

Launching on December 4th, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be playable on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s already broken street date with consumers already getting their hands on a copy, so beware of spoilers. Head here for more details on what to expect.
