Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater fans can now enjoy a new free DLC for the new remake, adding hours of new content to enjoy.
When Konami released Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater earlier this year, many fans were excited to see how the developer would incorporate the online mode into the game.
While it wasn’t available at launch, Konami did promise that the mode, titled Fox Hunt, would be available at a later date.
It turns out that date is today, with the multiplayer mode Fox Hunt being released for the game as a free download. To access it, simply update your game to the latest version.
What is Fox Hunt in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater?
As you can probably guess from the title, Fox Hunt is a new stealth-focused mode that re-interprets the gameplay of the original game into fun little multiplayer sequences.
Up to 12 players can participate in two different game types: Survival Capture and Survival Intrude, with each one offering a different experience depending on your tastes.
Survival Capture is a game where you have to collect as many frogs as possible to win, essentially almost like a capture the flag game mode. Securing more frogs than enemy players will result in a victory.
Meanwhile, Survival Intrude is more oriented around being stealthy. You’ll have to sneak through various zones to progress through multiple phases, all while evading being seen by the enemy.
Either way, it seems like both of these modes offer something different, so you won’t necessarily run the risk of everything feeling rather similar.
It’s possible that Konami may add more game modes and features to this mode over time, depending on how popular it is.
One Reddit user has already found additional files that reveal new game modes and maps, so this could definitely hint towards Konami’s plans for new Fox Hunt content.
At the time of release, many players enjoyed Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, with lots of attention given towards its graphics, its faithfulness as a remake, and the additional content.
