Maverick Games will show its open-world racing game on June 2

Back in 2022, Mike Brown, who spent many years at Playground Games working on Forza Horizon, founded Maverick Games. The studio is working on an open-world racing game. Although Amazon was set to publish the project, it ended its partnership with the studior last February.

But this setback won’t stop Maverick Games from releasing its game, no. In fact, the teaser campaign is in full swing, as the company revealed a countdown ending on June 2, 2026, during an impromptu livestream. We’ll likely see footage of the game on that date.

This seems to coincide with the broadcast of State of Play.
