Today is N7 Day, which is BioWare’s annual celebration of the Mass Effect series, and to mark the occasion, the developer gave an update on the next game and the TV show. Do not get too excited, though, as BioWare wants people to know it can’t reveal very much.
Executive producer Michael Gamble said the next entry in the Mass Effect series remains in development and that “EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe.” Gamble also addressed the rumors of BioWare getting shut down or sold off as part of EA’s $55 billion sale to an investor consortium led by Saudi Arabi.
“Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next,” he said.
It’s exciting to see the continued enthusiasm for the Mass Effect series, especially on N7 Day! It’s great that the developers acknowledge the fans’ eagerness for news. Looking forward to what the future holds for the franchise!
