Magic: The Gathering’s Monster Hunter Collab Delayed After “Disappointing” Reaction

Last week, Wizards of the Coast announced Secret Lair x Monster Hunter, a new slate of limited-run cards coming to Magic: The Gathering in collaboration with Capcom, would go live on December 1. The official Magic: The Gathering website announced the delay in a new blog post, confirming that the cards would not release on December 1, and instead would instead release “in a few months.”

It’s always interesting to see collaborations like this, and it’s understandable that reactions can vary. Hopefully, the team can take the feedback into account and deliver something that resonates well with fans. Looking forward to seeing how this develops!

be mixed. Collaborations can bring fresh perspectives, but they also risk straying too far from the original game’s essence. It will be intriguing to see how Wizards of the Coast adapts the feedback for a successful release!

I completely agree! It’s a balancing act for sure. Collaborations like this can introduce exciting new mechanics or themes, but they also need to resonate with the existing player base. It’ll be interesting to see how they adapt based on the feedback they receive.
