Mafia: The Old Country Update Adds Classic Difficulty, New Cars, and First-Person Driving on November 20th

Hangar 13’s promised content update for Mafia: The Old Country is out on November 20th, and even if you’re out, there’s more than enough content to pull you back in. The Free Ride update adds wave-based combat missions, timed stealth encounters, new weapons and “game-changing” Charms. Check it all out in the trailer below.

Classic difficulty, a staple of previous titles, also returns, and for those who wanted more racing, there are “high-stakes” missions both behind the wheel and on horseback. You can also unlock new vehicles, weapons, and outfits, or see the world from a new perspective with first-person driving. Alternatively, use Photo Mode to capture the gorgeous sights of Valle Dorata.

Of course, the world also contains new secrets to discover, and if that wasn’t enough, there’s Cinema Siciliano Mode, which renders everything in black and white. Alongside Sicilian voice acting, the sound design is akin to old-school cinema.

The update is free for all who own Mafia: The Old Country on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. For more details on the base game, check out our review.
