Little Nightmares 3 gets some mixed first reviews

Although we’ve waiting for several years, Little Nightmares 3 seems, unfortunately, to be somewhat disappointing. The press has published its initial reviews, and the general consensus is fairly mixed regarding this third installment, available October 10, 2025, on all platforms.

Currently, the Metacritic average is 73% on PS5 (37 reviews) and 67% on PC (7 reviews). OpenCritic, meanwhile, gives it a score of 74% based on 29 reviews. As always, it’s important to note that these scores are likely to change in the coming hours.

Those who’ve tried it generally applauded the great audio design of the game, as well as its puzzles and oppressive atmosphere. What’s more, the overall style of the title is great.

Unfortunately, there are obviously some flaws, with issues related to controls, a lack of diversity in terms of settings, coop feels sluggish, and slowdowns aplenty.

It really is intriguing! The anticipation built over the years can set such high expectations. It’s worth noting how the game’s atmosphere and storytelling have been a highlight in past installments, so fans might feel that pressure even more this time around.
