Capcom has released Leon Must Die Forever, a free DLC minigame thatâs been added to Resident Evil Requiem today, across all launch platforms.
Similar to Ethan Must Die for Resident Evil 7, Leon Must Die Forever is a bonus game mode thatâs unlocked after completing the main story, putting you back into the shoes of Leon Kennedy and tasking you with battling back through previous parts of the game with stronger enemy variants, increasingly difficult ranks, and racing to beat the final boss against the clock.
As you play, youâll be boosted by defeating enemies to fill an enhancement gauge, unlocking âenhancer abiltiiesâ that are exclusive to this game mode and will differ from run to run.
Alongside the new game mode, Capcom says the update also does this:
- Various bug fixes across platforms have been addressed
- Added PC support for the DualSenseÂŽ wireless controllerâs adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion sensor features
Resident Evil Requiem has been the fastest-selling game in the franchise, already racing to more than 6 million copies sold since release at the end of February. With such early success, Capcom is at work on story DLC, but released this as a little freebie to keep the game active.
And what a game it was, garnering no small amount of praise, including a 9/10 from us.
âResident Evil Requiem is a superb entry in the series and feels like a âbest ofâ at times with the persistent Easter eggs, references, and gameplay callbacks to the full range of earlier games,â said Steve, âThere is a vast amount of wider lore for fans of that part of Capcomâs legendary titles, but even newcomers will be caught up in the narrative and balls to the wall gameplay. RE Requiem is up there with the very best of the series.â
