It’s time to return to Nosgoth once again, as today’s State of Play revealed a remaster of Legacy of Kain: Defiance is on the way. Released back in 2003, Defiance was the third chapter in the Soul Reaver saga. The big twist here was that Raziel and Kain were both playable characters, allowing players to step into the boots of the vampire lord and his former lieutenant.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered officially launches on March 3 for PS5 and PS4, and preorders are opening today. Crystal Dynamics is developing the remaster.
The remaster features updated HD graphics, a new third-person camera, and wayfinding level maps, along with bonus features like character skins and lost levels, along with a photo mode. A digital deluxe version includes digital comics and a playable demo of Dark Prophecy, the unreleased sequel to Defiance.
