The latest game in a long-running series, which began on the PS2, currently costs next to nothing on the PS Store. This doesn’t look like a mistake, but 2017 PS4 action demolition derby/racing game Flatout 4: Total Insanity is going as low as $0.44 for a limited time. The game is playable on PS5.
2017 game Flatout 4 is under $1 on PS Store for a limited time
PS Plus members have until February 26 to buy Flatout 4 for $0.44. Those without a subscription have to pay $0.67. Either way, the game is under a dollar for everyone and is worth checking out at this price.
For the uninitiated, Flatout first launched on the PS2 in 2004 and went on to spawn seven more games, with a VR title currently in production for PSVR2/PS5. One of the games — Flatout: Head On — was a PSP exclusive. Meanwhile, 2007’s Flatout: Ultimate Carnage was an Xbox 360 console exclusive.
Flatout 4 received mixed reviews, and the series hasn’t seen a new entry since. But that’s set to change with the VR game that’s yet to be dated.
The IP is currently owned by Canadian publisher Strategy First Inc. after changing hands numerous times over the last two decades.
