Now that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is out, Hideo Kojima and his teams are turning their attention to a completely different project. It’s called OD, a survival horror game announced in December 2023 and developed in partnership with Xbox.
A brand new trailer was revealed this week as part of the Beyond the Strand event organized for the 10th anniversary of Kojima Productions. The game uses the Unreal Engine 5.
Hideo Kojima says that the OD experience is unique and that no one has done anything like it before. Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft Gaming, describes OD as a game that is “bold, unique, and unmistakably from the studio”.
We don’t yet know the release date or even the release window for the game.
