Kingmakers, the highly anticipated medieval action-strategy game that also includes AK-47s, grenade launchers, and attack helicopters, is not going to make it out on time. Just five days before it was due to launch on October 8, developer Redemption Road has announced the game is being delayed indefinitely so the studio can make it the best game it can be whenever it does launch.
“It’s an incredibly ambitious, uncompromising game, and we don’t want to cut any planned features for the sake of getting it out the door earlier,” the studio said in a statement. “We just need a bit more time on content polish before we feel good about charging money for it.”
“We’re making sure everyone who buys the game is enthralled and feels like their money was well spent,” the studio added.

It’s always a bummer to hear about delays, especially for a game that sounds so intriguing! The mix of medieval and modern elements in Kingmakers is definitely unique. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together when it’s finally released!
I completely agree! The blend of medieval settings with modern weaponry really sets Kingmakers apart from other games. It’ll be interesting to see how they balance the gameplay mechanics between swords and guns when it finally releases.
Absolutely! It’s fascinating how this unique mix could lead to some creative gameplay mechanics. I’m curious to see how they’ll balance the strategy elements with the chaos of modern weaponry in a medieval context.
