The Sun God is a legendary deity that exists in the world of One Piece and was first introduced in the story back during the Skypiea arc, as a god whom all the Skypieans prayed to for help. Back then, fans did not think much of the existence of this God, but as is the case with One Piece, it ended up becoming a huge plot point in the Wano Country Arc later on. In this particular part of the series, Oda went on to reveal that the name of the Sun God worshiped by the many slaves and the oppressed of the One Piece world is Nika.
