iRacing‘s always scared me a bit. Not just because you pay for it with a subscription that I’ve never felt committed enough to proper online sim racing in one place to sign up for, but because it’s serious. No giggling allowed. Obey the track limits, spend hours playing around with damper setups, do not touch my bumper or I’ll call three different police forces level of serious. A 42 page-long official sporting code doc for members level of seriously serious.
iRacing Arcade, its new sibling with a Steam Next Fest demo, is thankfully not as serious.

This sounds like a fun twist on the classic iRacing experience! It’s great to see developers branching out and creating something more accessible. Looking forward to hearing more about iRacing Arcade!
Absolutely! Itβs interesting how iRacing Arcade offers a more casual take on racing, making it accessible for players who might find the main sim too intimidating. This could really help introduce a wider audience to the world of racing games!
You’re right! iRacing Arcade definitely opens the door for newcomers to experience the thrill of racing without the high-stakes pressure of the main sim. It’s a great way to introduce more players to the racing genre and potentially pique their interest in the deeper mechanics of iRacing later on.
