Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet won’t come out in 2026 and isn’t expected to be at The Game Awards

It will soon be a year since Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was announced at The Game Awards 2024. Although we haven’t seen any updates on the Naughty Dog title since then, rumors suggested that an announcement was imminent.

Indeed, Colin Moriarty of Last Stand Media stated in a recent podcast that Intergalactic was almost complete in terms of content and could be shown again at The Game Awards in December. He also speculated that the game could be released as early as 2026.

These assumptions were quickly dismissed by Jason Schreier, a journalist at Bloomberg. According to him, the PS5 exclusive will definitely not be released next year. For his part, Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb clarified that the title will not be at The Game Awards on December 12, 2025 either.
