Interesting Upcoming PS5, PS4 RPG Gets Free Demo on PS Store

PS5, PS4 RPG

Japanese studio Wonderland Kazakiri has quietly dropped a free demo for its upcoming PS5 and PS4 RPG on the PS Store. The intriguing Cassette Boy is scheduled to launch on January 15, 2026, but all players can try it now for free.

PS5, PS4 players can try puzzle action RPG Cassette Boy right now without PS Plus

Although the Cassette Boy demo doesn’t require PS Plus, those with a Premium subscription can stream the demo rather than downloading it.

As for what the game is about, Wonderland Kazakiri says that Cassette Boy may look like a simple pixel adventure, but “beneath the surface lies something far more complex.”

“Is the moon there when nobody looks? Einstein once asked this famous question about quantum mechanics. This game takes that idea and turns it into a mysterious puzzle RPG, where the world itself only exists when you see it,” reads an official description.

Cassette Boy appears to be a 2D game, but its world is actually three-dimensional, with a rotating environment and boundaries. Players will need to “twist and turn the map, revealing hidden paths or making obstacles disappear simply by shifting perspective.”

The demo has already garnered positive ratings on the PS Store.
