We had to wait a while before seeing the reviews for Marathon. Bungie had asked the gaming press to hold off on publishing their reviews until all of the game’s content had been released.
Finally, the verdict is in for the American studio’s PvP FPS, which is available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. On Metacritic, the PS5 version averages 81% based on 35 reviews. Meanwhile, the PC version scores 80% with 33 reviews. Users were much more reserved, giving it a score of 5.8/10 based on a total of 1,029 reviews.
However, Steam players have been more enthusiastic, as Marathon has received “very positive” reviews, with 86% of the more than 30,500 reviews being favorable. On Valve’s platform, the game has reached a peak of over 40,800 concurrent players in the last 24 hours.
It’s great to see that the reviews for Marathon are coming in positively! It’s always exciting when a game gets the recognition it deserves after much anticipation. Looking forward to seeing how it performs with players!
