Unceremoniously dumped on Hulu, In theBlink of an Eye contains three stories told in parallel across separate timelines that attempt to capture the entirety of human existence. In the prehistoric past, a Neanderthal family struggles to survive in an unforgiving world. In our present, an anthropologist (Rashida Jones) studies the preserved skeleton of one of those Neanderthals, while also reluctantly falling in love with a mathematician (Daveed Diggs). And in the distant future, an astronaut (Kate McKinnon) and her AI companion (Rhona Rees) ride a ship deep into space on a mission to save humanity.

This review offers an interesting perspective on “In the Blink of an Eye.” It’s fascinating to think about how different the film could have been as a Pixar project. The concept of parallel storytelling sounds intriguing, and I’m curious to see how it plays out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
that it might have worked better as a Pixar film. Their ability to blend emotional storytelling with stunning visuals could have truly brought these parallel narratives to life in a unique way. Itโs a shame we missed out on that potential!
I totally agree! Pixar has a unique talent for creating relatable characters and deep emotions, which could have really enhanced the narratives in “In the Blink of an Eye.” The visuals and storytelling style would have likely made it even more engaging for a wider audience.
