Electronic Arts and Full Circle brought their free-to-play open-world skateboarding game, Skate, to PS4 and PS5 last month, and it’s been popular with players. Its newest update introduces the game’s first run of seasonal content, which will feature a Halloween-themed event. However, Skate is starting its spooky season celebration early with some new DLC based on one of EA’s most iconic characters.
Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke is in Skate… sorta
Players who venture over to The Shop in Skate will see that EA and Full Circle have added a slew of new purchasable cosmetic items to the game, including the debut of real-life skate brands Independent and Creature. However, scrolling down reveals a new Isaac Clarke Bundle, which includes cosmetics based on the beloved EA survival horror game Dead Space.
Skate’s Isaac Clarke bundle includes a Dead Space-themed skate deck, trucks, wheels, stickers, emote, and avatar. More notably, it includes a full costume based on Clarke’s RIG suit from the series’ first entry. However, it looks like it’s made out of household items like cardboard and tape, which fits the game’s general aesthetic.
The entire bundle costs 3,350 San Van Bucks, which is Skate’s premium currency. If players did not buy the Founder’s Deluxe pack (which includes 5,900 San Van Bucks), they would have to purchase 2,800 and 1,050 San Van Bucks packs, which cost roughly $35. Players who purchased the normal Founder’s Pack, which includes 2,800 San Van Bucks, would have to make another $9.99 purchase to get all the premium currency they need to get the Isaac Clarke Bundle.
The Isaac Clarke Bundle’s arrival on Skate means we could see more of EA’s franchises make cameos in the skateboarding game. Surely, there will be some Mass Effect garb next month during N7 day. Perhaps we’ll see a Sims hat or an Apex Legends deck in the future. The possibilities seem endless if Dead Space gear is being added within a month of Skate’s release.
