Hytale – How To Farm Linen Scraps And Light Hide For Light Leather Fast

Are you having some difficulty accumulating sufficient quantities of basic materials such as Linen Scraps, Light Hide, and Light Leather in the Hytale early game? Since these resources are randomized loot drops that you will have to gather from a variety of slaughtered mobs, animals, and critters, they can often become a bottleneck in your progression.

This guide is all about farming for Linen Scraps, and Light Hide for Light Leather, quickly and efficiently in Hytale.

How To Farm Linen Scraps

The primary source for Linen Scraps are the various low-level Skeletal mobs that you encounter in the early game. Since locating them can be a chore, you can make it easier on yourself simply by going on the hunt during the night when they have a greater chance of spawning. Moreover, scattered Skeletal mobs will be clearly identifiable in the darkness from a distance by the flaming torches that they carry. Skeletal mobs can drop between one and two Linen Scraps per kill.

Trorks, on the other hand, drop between two and three Linen Scraps per kill, however you may have some difficulty handily battling them early on without the right tier of weapons and armor. Both these enemy types can populate various camps or outposts in the overworld, where you can return periodically and farm them when they respawn.

Finally, caves can randomly have Goblin mob camps populating them as well. If you do succeed in locating a cave spawn, be sure to mark it on your map, so that you can return to it later once they have respawned, for another culling.

Chests in the wild are an unreliable source of Linen Scraps, as are destructible barrels, boxes, and crates.

Light Hide is a loot drop from a variety of small adult animals. These include only the following:

  • Antelopes
  • Chickens
  • Deer
  • Foxes
  • Goats
  • Rabbits
  • Rats
  • Sheep

Since all animals respawn eventually, you should never really run out of sources for Light Hide. You will need three Light Hide just to initially craft the Tanning Rack at the Workbench, but any materials above that can be put towards processing into Light Leather in a 1:1 exchange.

Chests in the wild are an unreliable source of Light Hide, as are destructible barrels, boxes, and crates.

That is how to quickly farm Linen Scraps as well as Light Hide for Light Leather in Hytale.
