How to hit the kite in Mina the Hollower

To the east of Ossex in Mina the Hollower, you’ll find a kid flying their kite over a river. However, the kite looks a little suspicious as there is a box sticking out of it. The only natural thing to do would be to hit it out of the sky, but your normal weapons don’t seem to reach it. Loot awaits for you inside, it’s just up to you to grab it.
